The winter season can often dry out the skin, cause impurities, eczema and dermatitis. As part of my profession as a model it is essential for me to maintain clear radiant skin, that's why I love trialling different skincare products, to see what gives me the best results. Having clear skin has so many positive benefits in terms of self-esteem and well-being. When we are looking our best, we feel it within ourselves and it shows as confidence. It’s time to take control and implement good skincare products into your routine! I’m here to share with you my favourite top facial masks, essential oils and moisturisers that i rely on during the winter times, because I want you to look and feel your absolute best too! I've included a list of these products below and their price ranges from $5-$145. FACIAL MASKS To combat the harsh elements of winter, I love using hydrating facial masks because they contain so many beneficial properties that help cleanse, condition, boost skins moisture levels and stimulates collagen production by penetrating deep into the pores. I use a facial mask once a week, for 30 minutes. I often alternate between brands. I use Garnier’s SkinActive Tissue Mask rage. This is a soft tissue mask, it is gentle on the skin, easy to apply on the face and very hydrating. When using this product I notice that my skin is improved, and if I have dermatitis (dry skin patches) it corrects my skin back to full health.
Cost Estimate: $5 I also use Neutrogena’s Hydrogel Mask, this is slightly different to using a tissue mask, it’s made from gel, it is clear/see-through and silky in texture. This range leaves the skin feeling deeply hydrated. And again if I have skin issues it helps to correct them.
Cost Estimate: $5 How To Apply A Face Mask 1. Wash your face with a scrub to get rid of dead skin cells and purify the face to enhance the face masks benefits 2. Use a skin toner on the face (I’d recommend Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, is very gentle on the face) 3. Apply the mask to the face for 20-30 minutes depending on the brand 4. Remove the mask and massage in the excess residue left from product 5. Allow the product to absorb and voilà you’re left with beautiful skin 6. For additional benefits add an essential oil to your face for example jojoba oil and then apply day or night cream ESSENTIAL OILS Jojoba Oil I use Tri-Natural 100% Pure Jojoba Oil. After cleansing my face morning and evenings I massage a few drops of Jojoba oil to my face which also helps to stimulate skin cell regeneration.
Cost Estimate: $10 Key Benefits Of Jojoba Oil - Hydrates skin - Contains vitamin E and B complex which aids in repairing skin and protecting the skin from damage - Contains anti inflammatory properties which help with skin chaffing and chapping - Fights fungi and infections which assists with acne, psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis Coconut Oil I use Organic Cold Pressed Coconut Oil as part of my beauty routine. I love applying the oil to my face, lips, knees, elbows and scars. It is very hydrating and a power antioxidant which helps protect skin from free radicles (environmental toxins, household chemicals and cigarette smoke). Coconut oil can also be used for dandruff, apply a small amount to the scalp, rub in, leave overnight and rinse hair in the morning. For lighting dark circles under the eyes apply a few drops of coconut oil, this will help to naturally brighten and hydrate the area.
Cost Estimate: $10 Note: Coconut oil is comedogenic, which means it can clog pores, so if you’re applying it to your face ensure it is a very small amount especially if you’re prone to oily skin. Trial and error is the way to go because everyone's skin is different. Key Benefits Of Coconut Oil - Hydrates skin - Contains antibacterial and anti fungal properties - Protects skin from free radical damage - Soothes eczema, sunburn and psoriasis - Contains Vitamin E, K and iron - Provides a rich supply of antioxidants which helps delay the process of ageing

Generally with all essential oils you can see that their main benefits are to hydrate and improve the skins condition on a deeper level. It's all about preference and choice. I love having the luxury of choosing between using one specific oil on my face for example jojoba, coconut or rosehip or using a mixture of combined oils formulated by a company for example Kiehl's range. I alternate between products and love doing this because it gives me the chance to find what works best for me. I have been using these essential oils for over 4 years now.

I tried it at home and fell in love. My skin loves this product, the texture is rich and soft, it melts into the skin, intensely moisturises and instantly i notice an improvement in the condition of my skin especially if it is dull/dry.
